Promotions & VIP Coordinator


Summary:
Maintains and coordinates all event operations including but not limited to promotions, special events, entertainment, bus groups and players parties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
o Assists Marketing Manger in coordinating entertainment, special events, fairs and community projects.
o Creates and maintains cost analysis for each event.
o Prepares purchase orders for marketing projects and events based on budget.
o Help develop and coordinate direct mail and newsletter pieces.
o Help develop and coordinate promotions, contests and giveaways.
o Help create player development packages.
o Resolves customer complaints and questions regarding promotions, events etc.
o Coordinates events with Resort Club and other departments.
o Assists Marketing Manager in maintaining property collateral (signage, information packages etc.)
o Coordinates set up and tear down of events and promotional areas under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
o Ensures proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards are followed.
o Attends all company required training.
o Complies with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
o Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
o Adheres to all safety guidelines.
o Meets company attendance requirements.
o May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Education/
Experience:
o Degree in a related field or 1-3 years work related experience.
o College courses in public relations, marketing and/or business management.
o Knowledge of various Microsoft Office software including but not limited to Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point. Knowledge in a graphic or page design software a plus.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to multi-task and have exceptional organizational skills.
o Excellent customer service skills.
Language Skills:
o Must be able to read, write, speak and/or interpret simple sentences in English.
o Must be able to communicate with managers, other employees and public customers.
o Ability to write reports, memos and external correspondence.
o Ability to respond to inquires or complaints from customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills:
o Understand currency and basic counting
Interpersonal Skills:
o Excellent customer service skills are essential
o Ability to lead, motivate and encourage.
o Must be able to work cohesively with co-workers and work as a team.
o Ability to carry out instructions.
o Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards customers, co-workers and other department staff.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
